Fil-Can Partners Pay Courtesy Visit on the Canadian Ambassador

The Centre for Mindfulness Studies Canada and FriendlyCare Foundation, Inc. paid a courtesy visit on the Canadian Ambassador to the Philippines, Honorable John Holmes to convey the upcoming intensive training certification program by the Canadian faculty from the Centre for the Filipino participants. The intensive training is Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavior (MBCT) Facilitation Certification designed to capacitate the participants in facilitating Mindfulness-based Interventions (MBI) for mental health, wellness and resiliency to the Filipino communities.

Family Planning in the Workplace

According to Article 134 of the Labor Code and Rule 5, Sec. 5.07 of the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Act of 2012, establishments which are required by law to maintain a clinic or infirmary shall provide free Family Planning services to their employees.

That means that companies and/or employers – who employ more than 200 workers (see Sec. 11, Rule XII, Employment of Women and Minors) – are in fact obligated by law to give their workers and employees access to family planning services for free.
